Report the Passing of a Vault Holder

This page explains how the Leganovo verification process works and how to report the passing of a vault holder so that their wishes can be carried out exactly as they intended.
Who can report a death?
Only people who have been enrolled as beneficiaries or participants in a vault holder’s account can submit a death report. When someone sets up their Leganovo vault, they designate the specific people, family members, a lawyer, a business partner, a trusted friend, who will be responsible for initiating and verifying the process. If you have been enrolled as a participant, you already have a Leganovo account. You will need to log in to the platform to submit your report.
How the verification process works.
Log In and Submit the Report
Log in to your Leganovo account using the credentials you created when you were enrolled as a participant. Navigate to the vault in which you are a participant and submit the death report. You may be asked to upload a death certificate or provide supporting documentation.
Multi-Step Verification
Leganovo initiates a multi-step verification process. Other designated participants and verifiers in the vault holder’s account are notified and must confirm the report. A connected, verified lawyer must also confirm the passing before any vault contents are released. This safeguard ensures no false, premature, or fraudulent report can trigger delivery.
Secure Delivery
Once all verification steps are complete, the vault holder’s designated beneficiaries receive secure access to exactly what was intended for them. Each beneficiary receives only the items assigned to them. Nothing more. Nothing less.
- No single report triggers delivery.
- Multi-step verification is always required.
- False reports can be rejected and flagged.
The Secret Garden section, if used by the vault holder, is permanently destroyed upon confirmation, its contents are never delivered to anyone.

Not yet a participant?
If you believe a Leganovo vault holder has passed but you are not enrolled as a participant in their vault, you cannot submit a death report through the platform. This is by design, it protects the vault holder’s wishes and prevents unauthorized access. Please contact Leganovo support at support@leganovo.com for guidance.
